<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can enhance the attractiveness of games as a while by novel display games. <P>SOLUTION: A variable display device 310 has the first display area 311 where characters can be displayed and the second display area 315 where many pieces of identifying information can be displayed. When balls win the starting slot 21, a display control means executes performance operations using a character with identifying information attached thereto in the first display area while the identifying information of the character with the identifying information specified through the performance operations is displayed in the second display area to form the result of the execution of display games in the second display area. For example, two characters with identifying information appear in the first display area via the variable display and are made to contest to let one character control the other. The performance operations with the contents as mentioned above are carried out three times.
