ADSORPTION/DESORPTION APPARATUS FOR VOLATILE SUBSTANCE AND ADSORPTION/DESORPTION METHOD FOR VOLATILE SUBSTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorption/desorption apparatus capable of adsorbing a volatile substance from a gas containing the volatile substance to desorb the volatile substance from the saturated adsorbent, and a adsorption/desorption method for adsorbing the volatile substance from the gas containing the volatile substance using this apparatus to desorb the volatile substance from the saturated adsorbent.

SOLUTION: The adsorption/desorption apparatus for the volatile substance is equipped with a plate-fin type heat exchanger. The adjacent fins of the spaces formed by the plates and fins of the plate-fin type heat exchanger are arranged so as to be shifted in phase by 90°and the spaces are packed with the adsorbent every other layer and made multilayered to be formed into a block state. The adsorption/desorption method for the volatile substance uses this apparatus.
