PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-purity and low melting point organic borate salt at a high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing the organic borate salt comprises reacting an organic borate salt having≥120°C melting point with an ionic compound having a cationic part different from a counter cation to the organic borate salt in a two phase system of water and an organic solvent to obtain an organic borate salt having≤100°C melting point.
