PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering drive for correcting the restriction characteristics of a group of variable restrictors so that the start-up characteristics of hydraulic pressure satisfy a target range. SOLUTION: The power steering drive comprises: an assist drive section 1 having a first oil chamber 1c and second one 1d; and the group of variable restrictors that are formed by arranging variable restrictors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (10) having a restriction opening. A differential pressure is generated between the first oil chamber 1c and the second oil chamber 1d of the assist drive section 1 due to the steering of a steering section to assist steering. The group of variable restrictors have a variable restrictor 9 (10) where a restriction opening area is set relatively larger than other remaining variable restrictors and restriction sensitivity is set relatively lower than other remaining variable restrictors. A fixed restrictor 9 for adjustment capable of adjusting the restriction opening is located at the downstream of the variable restrictor 9 (10) for correction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
