PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can clean the inside of an agitation tank with a simple structure at a low cost by forming a cleaning liquid passage in the rotating shaft during cleaning by using the rotating shaft of an agitating impeller, and spraying a cleaning liquid into the agitation tank. SOLUTION: An agitator having a cleaning function is provided with an outer cylinder 9 which extends vertically and in which one or more openings 11 are formed, an inner cylinder 10 which is inserted so as to be axially movable in the outer cylinder 9 and in which one or more nozzle holes 12 corresponding to the openings 11 are formed, and a control part 5 which controls the axial movement of the inner cylinder 10. The inner cylinder 10 is reciprocated by the control part 5, thereby controlling the jet of the cleaning liquid from the nozzle holes 12 to clean the inside of the agitation tank.
