PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of pseudo hollow metal balls which is capable of effectively absorbing impact energy from all directions, is high in the percentage of voids, is excellent in deformability and further has a high strength, and a laminating structure or the like thereof. SOLUTION: A linear component in which a series of pseudo hollow metal balls are continuously aligned is formed by hydraulically deforming a metallic tube material in a specially shaped mold. The impact energy absorbing body having a remarkably high strength and a high impact energy absorbability is formed by arranging the linear component optimally on a plane and then laminating the linear components.
