PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste coating apparatus capable of applying paste to the respective front and rear parts of an object to be coated by simple work. SOLUTION: In the paste coating apparatus, the paste layer 3 with a constant thickness on the surface of a substrate 2 moves along a route arcuate on a side view at a constant speed, and an object 6 to be coated penetrates in the paste layer 3 up to a constant depth in a process wherein the body 6 to be coated moves at a constant speed along the tangential direction of the arcuate route permitting the movement of the paste layer 3 to be coated with the paste. This coating apparatus is provided with a setting means for setting the speed difference between the moving speed at the time of coating of the object 6 to be coated with paste and the moving speed at the time of coating of the paste layer 3 with paste, so as to equally coat the front and rear side parts of the object 6 to be coated to coat the object 6 to be coated with the paste.
