PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rollover preventing device capable of urging a driver to avoid danger at a proper timing suited to a loaded condition of a vehicle, such as height of load. SOLUTION: This vehicle rollover preventing device comprises an attention call means (3 to 5, 9) for urging the driver to avoid danger, means (1a, 1b, 6a) for detecting the roll angle of a vehicle body; a means (2) for detecting the lateral acceleration of the vehicle body; a means (6b) having a function of calculating roll indexes defining the roll characteristics of the vehicle from the roll angle and the lateral acceleration, a function of discriminating the presence of high load profile from the average of right and left roll characteristics based on the roll indexes and a function of setting a discrimination value associated with attention call corresponding to high load profile, and means (6c, 6d, 6e) for controlling the attention call means based on comparison of the preset value with the roll angle.
