The invention relates to a method for detecting nucleic acid-oligomer-hybridisation events. Said method comprises the following steps; provision of a modified surface, whereby the modification corresponds in the binding at least one type of ligand-oligonucleotide; provision of a sample containing ligand-oligonucleotides; bringing a solution into contact with the modified surface, whereby the solution contains at least one type of redox active species; bringing the sample into contact with the modified surface; detection of the reduction and/or oxidation of the redox active species by means of a suitable electrochemical method with the aid of a measuring electrode, the distance thereof with respect to the modified surface being at most 5 times greater than the radius of the electrochemically active surface; and comparing the values obtained from the detection to reference values. |
