FIELD: diagnosing facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for revealing stressed-deformed state of machines, sets and processing equipment and it can be used on main lines (gas mains) to protect strain gauges from influence of ambient medium. Proposed device provided with water-repelling coating applied to gauge has housing with belt in base from outer side and holes for outlet conductors. Elastomer, for instance, rubber, gasket is placed between belt and surface of pipe. Belt itself is wound on pipe for instance by means of glass -reinforced tape. Method of mounting of device consists in the following operations: raw rubber is applied to working (contact) surface of belt prior to mounting housing on pipe, then housing is placed on mandrel whose surface is identical to surface of pipe and rubber is subjected to polymerization. EFFECT: improved reliability of protection of strain gauges installed on main lines from influence of ambient medium. 3 cl, 4 dwg
