The invention relates to a method of producing a novel material comprising natural fibre bundles that are pre-impregnated with organic resin and taking the form of a yarn or ribbon. According to the invention, the method consists in producing a novel composite material comprising fibrous materials which are obtained from natural fibres and a matrix such as a thermoplastic resin which binds said fibrous materials. Natural fibres include flax, hemp, sisal or any other fibrous plant (10). Moreover, said novel material is produced in a spinneret. The method of producing the novel material includes the following steps: a first step involving the separation of the stalk and the capsule (100) thereof; a second step consisting in aligning the stalks along the product production line (200); a third step comprising the separation of the fibres and the wood contained in the stalk (300); a fourth step whereby the fibres are impregnated with a resin which is used as a matrix (400), said step can be preceded by complementary fibre-preparation steps in order to improve, in particular, the adhesion between the fibre and the matrix; and a fifth step in which the fibres are grouped together into a bundle comprising fibres impregnated with resin according to the selected imprint (500) and subsequently packed, for example, in the form of spools (50) comprising a solid or supple ribbon or yarn. |
