METHOD FOR DETECTING THICKNESS OF SOFT TISSUES ABOVE CREST OF TOOTHLESS ALVEOLAR PROCESS

FIELD: medicine, orthopedic stomatology. SUBSTANCE: by orthopantomogram of jaws with wax basis of complete denture in position of central occlusion one should detect the distance between the crest of alveolar process and the line of roentgenocontrast metal wire preapplied onto wax basis of complete denture from the side of denture bottom along the crest of alveolar process by taking into account magnification coefficient. The innovation enables to provide safe and descriptive method for quick and accurate detection of soft tissues thickness above the crest of toothless alveolar process. EFFECT: higher efficiency of detection.
