PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid and light one rotor, i.e., a thin low-inertia rotor. SOLUTION: A rotor inductor 4 is an inductor 4 whose inside periphery and outside periphery are substantially cylindrical and wherein a slot 14 is formed into a honeycomb form. The outside periphery and inside periphery of the inductor 4 are coupled with each other as the remainder left after the punching of the slot, and the width of an inside periphery connecting part is set wider than the width of an outside periphery connecting part that is reduced in wealth so as to hardly form a magnetic circuit, thus forming a part of the magnetic circuit. Magnets 15 of the same polarities are fitted at a two magnetic- pole pitch relative to the rotational direction in the slot of the inductor 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
