METHOD FOR DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to perform a driving operation under the low voltage and prevent a mis-discharging phenomenon by storing symmetrically electric charges on a scan electrode and a sustain electrode. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel includes plural electrode couples including the first electrodes and the second electrodes formed on an upper substrate and the third electrodes formed on a lower substrate. The first and the second electrodes and the third electrodes cross each other. A method for driving the plasma display panel includes an electric charge forming process and a cell selection process. The electric charge forming process is to form symmetrically a plurality of electric charges on the first and the second electrodes. The cell selection process is to select cells by using the electric charges which are formed symmetrically on the first and the second electrodes.
