PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device in which a disk clamper is surely prevented from being damaged when shock is operated upon the device in a clamp state. SOLUTION: On a top plate 23 of a device main body of the disk device, a disk clamper 8 is installed to rotate. When an optical disk rotational driving mechanism installed inside the device main body is moved to a rising position, the disk clamper 8 clamps an optical disk with a turn table. The disk clamper 8 is installed while having a space movably in all directions of its radius. A trunk 84 of the disk clamper is loosely fitted into an approximately circular opening 232 formed on the top plate 23. The opening 232 is formed to be surrounded with a circular arc 233 and a line segment 234, and its radius becomes smaller in its backside portion. Thus, a quantity of the backlash of the disk clamper 8 becomes less than a quantity of that in the other direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
