PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm capable of realizing a high rigidity an ultra- lightweight by utilizing superior physical characteristics of a carbon material to the maximum extent, and a speaker capable of reproducing a sound of a wide frequency band or low range and exhibiting high sound quality by using this diaphragm. SOLUTION: The diaphragm is made of a composite material of a cylindrical graphene structure and a conductive polymer which is molded into a sheet. A manufacturing method comprises a impregnating step of impregnating a monomer and/or initial polymer of the conductive polymer exhibiting a fluidity into the sheet having the cylindrical graphene structure to obtain a molding, and a curing step of applying curing processing to the molding to obtain a sheet-like composite material of the cylindrical graphene structure and the conductive polymer.
