COIL COMPONENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component that can suppress the cracking of a core with closed magnetic circuit caused by temperature changes when the component is used or manufactured, and to provide a method of manufacturing the component. SOLUTION: This coil component is constituted by bonding and fixing two split cores to each other by applying an adhesive even to the boundary faces 13 of the split cores so that the split cores may form a cylindrical shape and, at the same time, disposing the adhesive 15 in a gap section 14. The adhesive 15 is composed of a thixotropic material having a coefficient of liner expansion which is close to those of the spit cores and applied to the boundary faces 13 of the split cores so that the applied extent (H) of the adhesive 15 in the facing direction of the boundary faces 13 may become larger than that (W) of the adhesive 15 in the widthwise direction of the faces 13.
