PURPOSE: A device for warning of wear of brake pads, using an ABS(Anti-lock Brake System) is provided to maximize efficiency in use of space and reduce the manufacturing cost of the vehicle by integrally using the device for warning of the brake pad and the ABS. CONSTITUTION: A device for warning of wear of brake pads(26), using an ABS comprises a unit(12) for detecting abnormality of the ABS to detect whether the ABS is abnormal or not; conductive wires(28) installed to a boundary point of over-wear of each brake pad and disconnected in over-wear; a unit for detecting disconnection to output a signal corresponding to disconnection of each conductive wire; a warning lamp(L) to warn of abnormality of the ABS and to warn of disconnection of each conductive wire; and an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,10) to receive detecting signals from the unit for detecting abnormality of the ABS and the unit for detecting disconnection and to decide abnormality of the ABS and disconnection of the conductive wires. The ECU operates the warning lamp when the ABS is abnormal and the conductive wires are disconnected.
