PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying an electricity cost is provided to give an user's convenience by calculating the electricity cost of a watt-hour meter and displaying the calculated electricity cost. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for displaying an electricity cost includes a clock circuit(20), a camera(30), a number recognizer(40), an electricity cost calculator(50), a reset operator(70), and a display(60). The clock circuit(20) provides date information and time information. The camera(30) picks up an image of a number board of a watt-hour meter(10). The number recognizer(40) detects the number from the image of the number board. The electricity cost calculator(50) calculates the electricity cost. The reset operator(70) resets the electricity cost calculator(50). The display(60) displays the electricity cost.
