<p>Preparation of polyurethane foams for use in floor coverings. In a single phase, continuous process for the production of polyurethane foam of at least 400 kg/m3 density, the reactants are all liquid at room temperature. Preferably they are toluylene-2,4- and 2,6-diisocyanates, polyols of OH index 100 - 300 (pref. polyether), wetting agents and tin-containing catalysts. Fine celled foams are produced which have excellent resistance to compression and good sound-insulating properties. Uses are for floor or roof coverings, possibly in combination with other minerals.</p> |
