<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with registration of a large quantity of numerals and the like to a morpheme dictionary to reduce the load in a syntax analysis or the like and thereby, to make the morpheme extraction of the numerals and the like flexibly executable. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a morpheme analysis method and device for extracting a predetermined kind of morpheme appeared in an input sentence wherein one or more processing units (letters or words) make sense. A plurality of state transition rules each describing a method of state transition when a processing unit line constituting the predetermined kind of morpheme is inputted are previously stored. It is determined whether or not the processing unit inputted by dividing the input sentence relates to the predetermined kind of morpheme. When it relates to the predetermined kind of morpheme, state transition is carried out by applying a state transition rule defined by information between a processing state at that time and the inputted processing unit, and when there is a stipulation for the state transition rule, the morpheme in which the processing units up to the processing unit inputted at that time reflected, is outputted by assuming that the predetermined kind of morpheme is extracted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
