PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable more accurate time synchronization of an automatic meter inspection system of multi-stage transmission using radio communication having variance of data depending upon line connections, etc. SOLUTION: Time differences among devices which reach a communication terminal from a center device through a relay device are totaled at the center device, errors of time of the center device and communication terminal are calculated from the product (cumulation = sum) of the time differences, and only the errors are transmitted to the communication terminal to correct the time of the timer of the communication terminal. With this corrected time, the time of the timer of a meter with a timer function is corrected and the time of this timer is used to gather measurement data of the meter with the timer function. The accurate time synchronization is performed without being influenced by the time varying with line connections, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
