THERAPEUTIC AGENT OF ESTROGEN DEFICIENCY SYNDROME

PURPOSE: A composition containing ginsenoside Rb1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an effective ingredient is provided which avoids adverse side effects of conventional hormone therapy, in particular, selectively treats syndrome associated with estrogen deficiency when used to alleviate symptoms caused by estrogen deficiency syndrome including menopause syndrome. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition contains ginsenoside Rb1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an effective ingredient. The effective dose of ginsenoside Rb1 is 100 to 300mg/kg adult body weight. The ginsenoside Rb1 is represented by the formula(1), wherein glc is glucose.
