PURPOSE: A glass tube for a CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) is provided to prevent the coloration caused by UV rays by the high UV-resistant solarization and block the harmful UV by the high UV absorption effect. CONSTITUTION: A glass tube for a CCFL includes electrodes(12) provided at both ends and a fluorescent substance(14) doped on an inner surface. The electrodes are connected to leads(16) for power supply. The glass tube contains at least one selected from a group consisting of CeO2 and V2O5, and is formed of Borosilicate glass having a linear expansion coefficient of 43¯55x10¬-7/°C at a temperature in the range of 30¯380°C.
