<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that is in a system without cleaner for removing/recovering/reutilizing a transfer residual developer by development simultaneous cleaning, and obtains stable high-quality images by efficiently performing the discharge of a residual developer unification control means and a developer charged-level control means. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a control means. In the control means, when a discharge operation for discharging a residual toner that is accumulated in the developer charged-level control means 6 and the residual developer unification means 7 onto a photoconductor drum 1, a voltage for preventing the potential of the photosensor drum 1 that is nearly equal to 0 V from varying by the discharge operation is applied to the developer charged- level control means 6 and the residual developer unification means 7, while the surface potential of the photoconductor drum 1 is nearly in a 0 V for performing the discharge operation to the photoconductor drum 1 that is nearly at 0 V. Then, an AC voltage to be applied to an electrification roller 2 is turned off, and the DC voltage is set to nearly 0 V to a surface where the discharge operation on the photoconductor drum 1 was performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
