DATA RECEIVING APPARATUS AND DATA DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time required to store data to a storage means before start of data reproduction, so as to reduce a time from a request of data transmission to a server until the data are reproduced.

SOLUTION: A media reception buffer 209 outputs a signal denoting that the stored media amount exceeds a threshold to a wireless control section 205, when it happens. When receiving the signal denoting the media data amount reaching the threshold or over from the media reception buffer 209, the wireless control section 205 instructs an initial buffering condition decision section 207 to decrease a data reception speed. A media reception speed decision section 208 decides a media specific speed and outputs it to the initial buffering condition decision section 207. The initial buffering condition decision section 207 decides the buffering time and speed on the basis of the media specific speed received from the media reception speed decision section 208.
