<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding apparatus capable of handling image encoded data in a unified way independently of the transmission system and to provide the structure of image data. <P>SOLUTION: A data input means 101 receives header data including N slice data being a part of an encoded image frame, a parameter required for particularizing a start position of the N slice data, and size information required for decoding the N slice data and data comprising connected slice data for connecting the N slice data, a slice separate means 102 refers to the parameter required for particularizing the start position in the header data to particularize the start position of the slice data included in the connected slice data received successively, a decoding means 103 decodes the data and a display means 104 displays the decoded data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
