PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a portable terminal device in which the chassis is slidably moved, a groove is appeared when the chassis is opened to the utmost of the sliding range, which causes lowering of the quality level, and deterioration of the sealing performance of the chassis, resulting in invasion of dirt or dust. SOLUTION: In a portable terminal in which a front chassis is slidably moved relative to a back chassis 4, a protrusion 7 having a pseudo T-section is provided on the front chassis 1, a guide groove frame 8 formed to enclose the protrusion 7 is provided on the back chassis 4, and the inside of the guide groove frame 8 serves as a guiderail along which the protrusion 7 is moved. When the protrusion 7 is located on both ends of the guide groove frame 8, the entire area of grooves in the guide groove frame 8 is arranged in such a positional relationship that it is within a range of the opposite surface to the front chassis 1. According to the configuration, the groove is not appeared in either of the closed condition and the slidably opened condition of the chassis, which restrains invasion of dirt or dust into the grooves, resulting in improvement of the sealing performance of the chassis.
