PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide slot array antenna which has a slot plate, capable of forming an accurate slot pattern easily and of being easily mounted on a base and which requires fewer number of processing steps. SOLUTION: The slot plate is made of a copper-foil printed thin dielectric sheet, and the sheet is bonded to the base with a pressure-sensitive adhesive double coated sheet. Since a copper foil is thin and the dielectric sheet is lighter than a metal plate, the slot plate becomes lighter than prior art slot plates. Since the warpage force of the sheets is small, mounting thereof to the base can be carried out with the adhesive sheet and can be facilitated, when compared with the conventional use of screws or brazing. Because of the copper-foil printed dielectric, the slot pattern can be formed accurately in the copper foil. Further, a deburring step, required by blanking in the prior art can be eliminated and a thickness required for distortion prevention, can be removed, thus reducing the weight of the antenna.
