PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method wherein a user of an electronic system in which a qwerty key pad is not present programs the electronic system. SOLUTION: An electronic mail message formed by the user is output by a remote key pad. The electronic mail message contains user selection taste data and is sent to an electronic mail address. The data are automatically extracted from the mail message, and sent to the electronic system via an external communication network of the mail address.
