MAGNETIC DISK DRIVE AND MAGNETIC HEAD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a gap in an inner circumferential side between a magnetic disk and a magnetic head becomes wider than necessary to excessively lower the recording and reproducing characteristic of a magnetic disk drive when the protrusion quantity of an element involved in an increase in a recording frequency is added to the gap between the magnetic disk and the magnetic head. SOLUTION: The contact of the magnetic disk with the magnetic head is avoided which is caused by protrusion in the vicinity of the element involved in a rise in element temperature due to an increase in a recording frequency, and deterioration in a recording and reproduction characteristic is minimized by controlling to make the gap large between the magnetic disk and the magnetic head in accordance with the quantity that the element protrudes due to generated heat corresponding to a recording frequency at recording radius position of the magnetic disk.
