PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly execute the processing of successively linking two or more data bases by using a disk sub system connected to an inter-storage network. SOLUTION: In a system in which the disk sub system and a plurality of the data bases are connected, a new area is secured from the volume pool of the disk sub system in the case of detecting the fault of the data base management system of a reflection side server and the secured area is opened when the restoration of the data base management system is detected.
