PURPOSE: A system and a method for a digital contents service using the prepaid income distribution are provided to protect CONSTITUTION: A set-top box(1) stores the point in a point database by matching with each member store ID, and transmits the playing log information to a manager computer(10) through a switch hub(5) after receiving a certification result for the selected contents and playing it. The manager computer transmits the certification result to the set-top box by requesting the certification for the playing contents to a central management server(30), and transmits the playing log information from the set-top box. The central management server transmits the certification result by responding to a certification request signal from the manage computer, and transmits a charge and the point after calculating the charge based on the playing log information.
