PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light shielding hood for a display that can be easily attached to the display of a digital camera as necessary, is compactly housed with a simple structure when not used, reliably shields incident light from the outside when used to enable a user to view an image displayed on a screen clearly and has excellent operability and convenience. SOLUTION: This light shielding hood 10 for a display comprises: a frame fixing part 11 that can be attached to a frame part 22 around a display 21 formed in an almost rectangular shape in a freely attachably and detachably manner; and a light shielding part 12 attached slidingly to the frame fixing part 11 in a freely collapsible and extractable way and for covering the display 21.
