PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of decreasing a wait time for making a speech even when an opposite apparatus is busy during transmission in the case that the opposite apparatus accommodates a plurality of lines. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus makes a call through a first line of itself to a first line of a destination A (step ST1). When the communication is not normally finished due to a busy line (step ST2), the communication apparatus searches whether or not a second line information of the destination is registered in a destination table 4a (step ST3), when the second line of the destination is registered, the communication apparatus decides whether or not multicast communication arrives in the first line of its own apparatus (step ST4). When the multicast communication exists, the communication apparatus makes communication with the second line of the destination by using its own first line (step ST6).
