PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass spacer for an electron-beam-exciting display enabled to be arranged erected on a glass substrate of a display. SOLUTION: The flat electron-beam-exciting display is provided with a front face plate 1 made of a glass substrate 15 with an image forming member 5 formed on the inside face and a back face plate 2 made of a glass substrate 21 loading an electron emission element group. The image forming member 5 is provided with a phosphor emitting light by electron beams irradiated from an electron emission element. The front face plate 1 and the back face plate 2 are bonded together airtight through a supporting frame 3 to form a vacuum vessel making up an airtight anti-atmospheric pressure structure together with the supporting frame 3, with a plurality of glass spacers 4 as atmospheric pressure supporting members inserted between the front face plate 1 and the back face plate 2. An aspect ratio (B/A×100%) of a cross-section shape width B to a cross-section height A of the glass spacer 4 is 2.0 to 50%, or preferably, 2.5 to 15% and a flat part ratio (C/B×100%) of each flat-part length of a top face and bottom face to the cross-section shape width B of the spacer is 40 to 95%, preferably, 50 to 85%.
