PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cassette which can assure the traveling stability of a recording tape wound around a guide roller. SOLUTION: The recording tape cassette is provided with a case consisting of an upper case and lower case to be housed with a reel set with a coil of the recording tape, a holding hole 37 disposed at the lower case and inserted with the bottom end of a shaft 36, the guide roller to be loosely fitted to the shaft 36, and a loose fitting hole disposed at the upper case and loosely fitted with the top end of the shaft 36, in which one edge of the holding hole 37 is cut down to incline the shaft 36 to a prescribed direction in assembling the case.
