<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a fault at high speed only with an optical switch part in an optical cross connect network for performing control by GMPLS, and to deal with connection forms of various optical cross connect networks by recovering the fault under control by a GMPLS control part when the fault is not recovered only by the optical switch part. <P>SOLUTION: When the fault occurs in a communication on an optical path and a backup path can not be secured by the optical switch part, the optical switch part notifies the GMPLS control part of fault information and switching information and based upon the fault information and the switching information from the optical switch part, the GMPLS control part updates label information and path management information. When it is impossible, the optical switch part notifies the GMPLS control part only of the fault information and based upon the fault information from the optical switch part, the GMPLS control part updates the label information and the path management information and secures the backup path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
