<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a circuit required for driving an oscillating wave, in an oscillating wave driving device that is provided with an oscillating member having a ring-shaped piezoelectric element whose electrode regions are all divided in the same direction to generate a progressive wave that is synthesized from a plurality of vibrations having different phases. <P>SOLUTION: An oscillating wave driving device is constituted that has the ring-shaped piezoelectric element whose electrode regions are all divided in the same direction to generate the progressive wave that is synthesized from a plurality of the vibrations having different phases by impressing an alternating voltage to the piezoelectric element. When the plurality of the vibrations having different phases are put as A phase vibration and B phase vibration respectively, there is an electrode region where the alternating voltage is impressed to generate the A phase vibration at an interval of integral multiplies of the progressive wavelength. Similarly, there is another electrode region where the alternating voltage is impressed to generate B phase vibration at an interval of integral multiplies of the progressive wavelength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
