摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a device by which a manufacturing cost can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel part 100 of a display device is provided with a gate electrode 13, a gate insulation film 16, a thin-film transistor T including a channel area 18 and a source/drain area 22, a source line 26 for supplying a current to the thin-film transistor T, and a pixel electrode 24. When manufacturing the pixel circuit 100, the gate electrode 13, gate insulation film 16 and channel area 18 are first formed on a glass substrate 10. After the channel area 18 or the like is formed, a polyimide film 20 is so formed on the glass substrate 10 as to surround the outer circumference of areas forming the source/drain area 22, pixel electrode 24 and source line 26. A liquid material is applied to an area surrounded with a wall of the polyimide film 20, and it is heated to form it into a film, thus forming elements such as the source/drain area 22 or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p>
