PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact image read system having a function of composing images in excess of an imaging area of a camera and correcting the surface of a three-dimensional object such as a book into a plane at a low cost in desktop. SOLUTION: The non-contact image read system is provided with a camera for reading an image, a pillar for supporting the camera, an original platen on which an original is placed and movable in a horizontal direction, a means for allowing an operator moving the original platen to grasp a read position, a composite means for composing a plurality of images photographed by the camera into one image, and a distance measurement means for using a plurality of the images photographed by the camera to measure a distance from the camera to a target position of the object.
