<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and its method in which picture quality is improved, occurrence of hold blur is prevented and deterioration in movement is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: Respective pixels 10 are provided at the crossing sections of a scanning line 11 which is used to select a pixel with a prescribed scanning cycle and first and second data lines 12a and 12b which provide first and second data signals. The pixels 10 has a light emitting element 14, a TFT1 and a TFT2 which write data signals from the lines 12a and 12b into the pixel 10, capacitive elements C1 and C2 which hold the data signals and a TFT3 which controls the amount of current being supplied to the element 14 in accordance with the data signals. Moreover, the pixel 10 has a TFT4 whose drain and source are respectively connected to the elements C1 and C2, and a coupling capacitive control line 15 which is connected to the gate of the TFT4. When a TFT6 is turned on by the signal on a control line 13 during one scanning cycle, the elements C1 and C2 are coupled and the light emitting element is shifted to a second lighting state from a first lighting state by the current being supplied based on the first data signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
