<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information communicating unit in which a call can be placed only by voice without viewing a display screen. <P>SOLUTION: The information communicating unit comprises a telephone book containing section for containing telephone book data including the name and telephone number of a plurality of telephone subscribers, a voice synthesizing section for synthesizing the telephone book data to produce voice data, a section for outputting the synthesized voice data as voice, an operating section for selecting the name of a telephone subscriber arbitrarily based on the telephone book data outputted by voice, a section performing telephone communication with a selected subscriber, a section for inputting/outputting a voice being communicated by telephone, a section for controlling the telephone book containing section, the voice synthesizing section, the synthesized voice outputting section, the telephone communicating section and the telephone voice input/output section based in response to an output from the operating section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
