<p>Stoving lacquers. Process using ammonia and/or amine salts of carboxy group-containing phenoplasts, in combination with other binding agents, for the preparation of stoving lacquers for electrophoretic coating processes incorporates at least one ethylenic unsaturated fatty acid with at least 14C atoms in the above combination to give added properties such as good stability in aqs. alkaline solution. Specifically, improvements may be obtained by reaction of fatty acid mixtures or their esters, and contg. at least 30% linoleic acid, 20% oleic acid and less than 10% saturated fatty acids, with alkylphenol resins which can, if necessary, be copolymerised with mixtures of vinyl compounds.</p> |
