PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication management function setting apparatus capable of preventing a master apparatus for managing communication of all apparatuses connected to a network from being frequently revised.

SOLUTION: The communication management function setting apparatus includes: a communication means for connection to the network; a time count means for counting a prescribed time after the end of a communication ready state of the communication means; and a master confirmation means for confirming the presence of the master apparatus for managing communication on the network within the prescribed time.
