DATA DETECTION CIRCUIT, METHOD FOR DATA MODULATION, AND DISK RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect address information and other respective pieces of modulation information by simple circuit constitution to the optical disk of a wobble phase modulation format, and to provide the wobble phase modulation format whose phase modulation part is small. SOLUTION: A data detection circuit is provided with a means for determining only one of data 1 and data 0 in a reproduced wobble signal from the optical disk of a wobble phase modulation system, and initializes data within a buffer to 0 or 1 from the detection of a word sync to the start of buffering a data bit. Further, 0 data and 1 data within data structure including the address information, etc., are realized by a method for data modulation which performs phase modulation of only one of data 1 and data 0, and a disk recording medium.
