The fixing device includes plinths (10) in the form of thick plates equipped with feet (13) on their bottom faces (11), and equipped with vertical grooves (12). The plinths are placed on the bottom (5) of a pond or river bed. At least one strap (6) is used for fixing a course marking element (4) on the plinth, with the strap having an anchoring element at its end for attachment in the groove in the plinth.
