<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory member having a storage element for storing information and transmitting the information which the storage element stores through an antenna to a device body, and to provide a unit having the memory member and a process cartridge having the memory member. <P>SOLUTION: The memory member used for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus has: a base substance; the storage element for storing the information provided on the reverse of the base substance reverse to the obverse of base substance opposite to a body antenna provided on a body, when the memory member is mounted on the body of the image forming apparatus; a memory antenna provided on only the obverse of the base substance for transmitting the information stored to the storage element to the body antenna provided on the body of the apparatus body, when the memory member is mounted on the apparatus body of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus; and a transmission member for transmitting the information stored to the storage element provided on the base substance to the memory antenna. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
