<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect semiconductor elements inside an induction heating device and the entire device by reducing power consumption at a standby time, and by preventing an overcurrent from being impressed to the semiconductor elements. <P>SOLUTION: This control method of the induction heating device is structured by connecting parallel a series circuit of diodes 2, 3, a series circuit of capacitors 4, 5, and a series circuit of switching arms composed of the switching elements 6, 7 and diodes 8, 9, by connecting capacitors 10, 11 parallel to the switching arms, by connecting an AC power source 1 between the internal connection point of the diode series circuit and that of the capacitor series circuit, and by connecting a heating coil 12 between the internal connection point of switching-arm series circuit and that of the capacitor series circuit. The switching elements 6, 7 are driven to suppress the voltage of the capacitor series circuit less than withstand voltages of the diodes 2, 3 and the switching elements 6, 7 inside the induction heating device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
