<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for article purchase which enables a customer to confirm the total amount of purchase at any time, eliminates the need to wait for a calculation result to be obtained when the customer pays, and saves the time for article purchase. <P>SOLUTION: A handy terminal 11 reads the bar code attached to an article to be purchased and inputs a purchase quantity and a store computation center 13 to which information from the handy terminal 11 is sent through a communication means 14 calculates the unit price of the article to be purchased and the total amount to generate purchase-expected article data and also sends the total amount of purchase-expected articles based upon the purchase-expected article data through the communication means 14 to the handy terminal 11, which displays it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
